     EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. It is often associated with, and encompasses, instructional theory and learning theory.
     While instructional technology covers the processes and systems of learning and instruction, educational technology includes other systems used in the process of developing human capability.
     Educational Technology includes, but is not limited to, software, hardware, as well as Internet applications and activities. It aims to infuse technology in the student-teachers training, helping them to adapt and meet rapid and continuing technological changes, particularly in the thriving global information and communication technology (ICT) environment.



Understanding Hypermedia
     The presentation of information learning activities in hypermedia is said to be sequenced in a non-linear manner, meaning that the learner may follow his path of activities thus providing an environment of learner autonomy and thinking skills.

Computer as a Tutor
     It should be made clear, however, that the computer cannot totally replace the teacher since the teacher shall continue to play the major roles of information deliverer and learning environment controller. The computer is a tutor in this new age of learning. It does not replace the teacher, although it assumes certain roles previously assigned to teachers who now has to take the new role of facilitator and guide.
